Yesterday I was hanging out with a certain 5-year-old boy I know. We decided to go get something to eat. The 5 year old got the kiddie meal, which comes complete with a cute little plastic cup with a non-spill top. In this case a the top was cone shaped.
So there we are eating yummy burgers and fries, pickles and salad and grilled cheese. The bill comes, the leftovers come. I am thinking Oh look at the cute cup. 5-year-old boy should take that home. It will be so sweet to drink out of.
So I say, You should take the cup home. Isnt it nice?
And 5-year-old boy says totally deadpan, totally boy, Just the top. I want to use it to make something. Its the nose cone.
What can I say? I am just looking at him. I am not thinking nose cone. I am not thinking construction. I am thinking cute drinking cup. I am thinking feeding.
