Today is the last day of school. I am so looking forward to the long unwind the summer provides me. Time to really unravel. People I want to see, places I want to go.
Son and daughter go to sleepaway camp for two weeks, right away. I know it will be really weird to no have them here. When they go, I usually stop taking care of everything. No laundry, no shopping, no emptying the garbage. No nothing. Just me, doing whatever the hell I want with no one who needs anything from me.
Yep.
Of course the other side of that is THE SPACE.
How will I fill THE SPACE?
I am so used to being slammed against the wall with no time for anything or anyone. Suddenly having time to myself and space to fill is weird. Exhilarating. Daunting.
