because I believe in full disclosure: I'm really 50 years old, but run (well, swim, bike and rock) with a younger crowd. If you're looking to become a mom in the next year or so, I may not be your man; but if something deep and meaningful develops, well, I have a solid track record: my kids are beautiful and caring people.
because I can whip up a healthy and delicious meal with just about anything in your fridge; I can also do the same for your dog.
because I believe in the culture of the handmade, not the mass produced, whether it is in art, music and food.
because I'm disciplined enough to swim for 40 minutes a day, and slack enough to drink a glass or two of whiskey every night.

because I'm generous to a fault, and a pretty good listener.
because I love live music and will go out to hear it 3 - 4 nights a week.
because I'm about as close as you can come to being an atheist, yet still pray regularly to some kind of indifferent power in the hope that if I'm wrong, this power will know that even though I didn't believe in it, I still acted as if I did.
because those canvases by Mark Rothko with luminous colors floating in space make me swoon. But then again, so do the meticulous patterns of a Sol LeWitt wall drawing.
because I know about making mistakes, purposely and inadvertently, and I always make good on them; I believe in full disclosure and responsibility.
because I'm not really much different than anybody else, but I do have some interesting stories to tell.
My Ideal Person:
I don't have a huge laundry list, just that you truly be "available." If you work really long hours, weekends, holidays, returning home wiped out, I'm probably not your man.
