I have a blog here...to know more, you may read it to your heart's content.
I'm just having fun blogging here...that's all for now. Not looking for more than feedback on the ol' writing endeavor!
My Ideal Person:
Feel free to comment on my blog. I'm not looking for more than that. I've been a blogger here since last year and have (for good or bad) an established place to write my shite...
The last great book I read The Idiot's Guide to Homeschooling The Complete Guide to Building Log Homes The Vegetable Gardener's Bible The Midwife Like Water for Chocolate The Alchemist
My most humbling moment Meeting an ancient Mohawk woman (great grandmother of a friend of mine) who spoke no English. She took my hand in hers and smiled at me as she said something to her grandaughter in Mohawk language. Translated, she told my friend that I could be one of her children. I have always cherished that.
Another time, alone...being pursued by a wall of fog as I ran pell mell out of the Devon Moors to get to the town below. I later heard on the news that some military men were lost in it for a few hours.
Travelling in South America (Peru, Bolivia, Ecuador), climbing Huanu Picchu with dysentery, avoiding anything touristy...Wow...USA seemes so surreal after that.
The forces of nature humble me daily.
Favorite on-screen sex scene Henry and June...bag of groceries...Scenes from "Blackrobe"
The celebrity I resemble the most Amelia Earhart. Did you know "Erhar" means dog in Mohawk?
The best or worst lie you've ever told: "Sorry, she's not here at the moment. Can I take a message?" (to telemarketers)
If I could be anywhere right now New Mexico, Old Mexico...South of France...Italy (i've always wanted to experience Venice before it slips into the sea)...Japan in the middle of any old rice paddy...India, Alaska...on a commune/intentional community with permaculture in place...On top of Huaynu Picchu...building my log cabin in Upstate NY...or an adobe structure somewhere in the SW.
Anywhere that is pristine if that exists anymore...
Five items I can't live without Besides my children (who are not items)... my minivan (for day trips outside NYC), music - all genres, a garden, the Adirondacks, the truth, quality chocolate, Water.
Fill in the blank: _____ is sexy; _____ is sexier. ripe is sexy; aged to perfection is sexier!
In my bedroom one will find... Light flooding in through a bay window...warmth, atmosphere, a nest, cats, books, my kids jumping on the bed (sometimes), secrets hidden everywhere...and some in plain sight.
